Centennial College’s Downsview Campus facilitates the relocation of our long-running Aviation Technician programs, as well as the related aircraft and equipment from the Ashtonbee Campus Hangar in Scarborough. The new campus provides additional instruction space for the existing programs, as well as new programs in Aerospace Manufacturing delivered by our School of Engineering Technology and Applied Science.

Facility/Amenity Description
TTC Access Located in the heart of Downsview Park, the campus is accessible by TTC, GO Train and Subway.
Bookstore Pop-up Shop A bookstore pop-up shop is available on campus at the beginning of each semester. Get campus swag, clothes, school supplies, textbooks and more.
Library Access books, study spaces, tutoring services and librarians.
Marketplace (Cafeteria) A cafeteria offering many food stations. Here you will find daily specials, grill stations, grab and go areas, and microwaves.
Access to local Downsview gym facilities While Downsview campus doesn’t have its own gym facilities, you have access to the local sports complexes at Downsview Park. These include the hoops dome, turf field, and skating rink at Scotia Bank Pond. In addition, your student card gives you access to all the gyms at any of our campuses.
Multi-faith Room We have a private multi-faith room (located in Room 131) that offers a welcoming environment for all, regardless of religion, spiritual beliefs or creed.
Student Services Hub Your one-stop shop for everything Administrative on campus (includes Enrolment Services and Financial Aid).
Student Services Offices Includes the offices of Career Services and Co-operative Education, Centre for Accessible Learning and Counselling Services (CALCS), Advising and Pathway Services, and CCSAI.
Autoclave Access Students have access to our own autoclave equipment. The autoclave helps compress metal sheets together for planes.
Tarmac with Aircraft On the exterior of the campus is a tarmac with two commercial jets that students can explore during their classes.

Hangars on Campus

  • Hangar A

    The primary hangar space on campus used by aircraft repair students. It has a variety of aircraft such as helicopters, planes, and vintage planes for students to work on.

    Used by Avionics students. The aircraft in Hangar B go back and forth between hangars, and has a donated Ornge aircraft.

Labs on Campus

  • Sheet Metal Lab

    Used by aircraft maintenance and avionics students, this lab gives you hands-on experience with metal exterior elements of a plane. Do everything from buffing out a scratch to fixing structural damage, and making sure everything on the plane is safe and up to code.

    Where students work on electrical components of the plane.

  • CNC Lathe/Mill Labs

    Used by aerospace manufacturing and engineering students, this lab space focuses on designing and innovating plane parts.

    A lab that specializes in fixing the communications and computer systems in the aircraft.
