Muhammad Lila

Board Member

Muhammad Lila was appointed by the Board in 2019 and reappointed in 2022. He is an international journalist and correspondent. He averages 100+ flights a year, deploying to the frontlines of the world's biggest stories. He has been ambushed by the Taliban, caught in the crossfire of a firefight in Ukraine, and been invited to a personal audience at the home of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Born and raised in Toronto, he has degrees from the University of Toronto and Columbia University. Muhammad is a member of the Board’s Learning and Employment Committee.
