Housing Options

Centennial College wants all international students to feel welcome and comfortable in their new home away from home. There are many options available to students, including Centennial Residence, staying with a host family through the homestay program, or living off campus with other students or on your own. On this page, you will find information summarizing the different housing options so that you can pick the best one for you. Also, be sure to visit our Housing Tips page for some important information to get you started.

Student Residence

The Centennial College Residence is more than just a place to sleep. It’s an opportunity to develop lifelong friendships and memories. It also allows you to get fully involved in college activities and to mature in a rich academic and social community. We recommend that international students stay in our Residence during the first year of study to help jumpstart their Canadian living and learning experience. Rooms in Residence fill up quickly, so apply early.

For more information on Residence rates, policies, photos and to apply, visit www.centennial-place.ca.

For questions and inquiries about Residence, contact the Residence directly by emailing centennialresidence@studenthousing.com or calling 416-438-2216, Ext. 6294.

Homestay

Coming to a new country can be exciting, but also intimidating. The homestay program partners you with a family who will host you in their home and help you adjust to your new city. You may choose to stay with the family for the entire duration of your study period, or just until you can find your own place. Centennial College works with the following homestay companies. Please contact them directly for more information and to book your stay.

Off-Campus Housing

If you prefer a more independent type of housing, there are many options for apartment or rooms that you can rent on your own. Keep in mind that all websites listed below are third-party companies, all landlords are independent and it is crucial that you do your own research and due diligence to ensure you are getting a safe place to live that is within your budget.

Here are a few websites that provide listings of available rooms or apartments for rent:

  1. www.places4students.com
  2. www.padmapper.com
  3. www.viewit.ca
  4. Centennial Housing Facebook group
  5. Centennial International Facebook page

Please note: It is important for you to do your due diligence and choose the service provider that is right for your needs - whether from this list or beyond. While the SaGE team reviews and updates the list based on feedback from international students and the community, the College does not officially investigate, endorse or guarantee any of the providers mentioned here. As such, the College assumes no responsibility in regard to the quality of services provided by these organizations.

Travelodge

Travelodge is a hotel that is located close to Progress Campus. It is a good place to stay for a few days while you look for more permanent accommodation. A special rate is offered to Centennial College international students. If you wish to book your stay at the Travelodge, you may email travelodge@rogers.com or call 416-299-9500 and mention that you are a Centennial College international student.
