| Description | This course imparts the necessary skills and knowledge to identify and define different types of corrosion, know how it was formed, and how it can be prevented and treated. This course will also introduce the learner to, and familiarize them with, the basic properties of metals; the different types of hardware, tooling and processes used for installation of hardware; as well as identification and reporting processes associated with aircraft damage and corrosion; as well as non-destructive testing and inspecting aircraft structures. This course is not intended to teach the student to perform procedures which fall into the category of specialized maintenance. |
