Description | This course will enable students to study the role of a courtroom clerk/registrar for family law cases in the Ontario Court of Justice, Superior Court of Justice and the Family Court of the Superior Court of Justice. Students will learn courtroom decorum, conduct, pre-court and in court responsibilities, in accordance with Ministry-approved procedures, practices and guidelines. Students will learn the principles of case management, child protection timetables and their relationship to the Court’s case tracking technology. Participants will study the Family Law Rules as they relate to the responsibilities of a courtroom clerk/registrar with specific emphasis on First Attendance court (Rules 39 and 40). |
