| Description | This course involves the description, theory, design and operation of Geothermal Heat Pumps. It introduces the student to the theory and operation of heat pump, design and installing ground loop to exchange heat with the heat pump. Topics include ground source heat pump, field analysis, site evaluation, selection of heat pump and heat exchanger, distribution system, installation of piping system and equipment, project economics, system startup and documentation. |
