Description | In this course, students will apply theories and concepts to manage information systems in a business environment, regardless of their functional work area; i.e. human resources, marketing, business administration, accounting, etc. Managing information systems has become a task for all levels of managers and all functional areas of the business. In today’s digital firm there is no escaping the opportunities (as well as the challenges) that technology brings. This course will give students the knowledge necessary to identify the challenges facing companies and the technologies that will help them meet those challenges. The students will also learn how to design business processes while leveraging the technology, and create management procedures and policies to implement the required changes. |
