Description | This course provides an introduction to business principles, theory, and their practical application to the various areas of the Canadian and global business environment. The course examines the basic aspects of Canadian business economy, including demand and supply, products and services, the business trade cycle, private and public enterprise, and different types of competitive market structures. It also covers topics in business ethics and corporate social responsibility (CSR). Students will have an opportunity to examine and evaluate the basic principles of business philosophy, demand and supply theory, different types of business institutions, and formation of business institutions. Both the Canadian and global business environment will be analyzed and assessed from a business and economic perspective. |
