| Description | This course will introduce the student to the complex field of Tool Design. Emphasis will be placed on Jig & Fixture Design with respect to the manufacturing industry. This creative, lab oriented, problem solving course includes the generation of complete working drawings (using ISO/CSA drafting standards) from initial concept to the final outcome. The method of instruction will be: topical lectures, discussion and ‘hands on’ design development at the computer work station (AutoCAD 2000 software). |
