Description | This course introduces students to the fundamentals of embedded computing with microcontrollers. Working with the PIC24 microcontroller, students create software in 16-bit assembly and embedded C. Focus will be place on interfacing devices with GPIO, PWM, timer subsystem and ADC. Peripherals covered will include LCD, LED & 7 segment displays, keypad, motor control, and basic analog sensors. Upon completion, students will be able to create microcontroller devices capable of acquiring analog or digital data, and performing arithmetic processing for output. |
