Description | In this course, students will learn the basic concepts of visual storytelling, technical skills, production and basic directing techniques through an introduction to print and digital production and editing Students will understand editing concepts, workflow and production roles, basic shooting techniques and how to interpret the written word. Through a lab component student will explore and rehearse the various roles, gaining an understanding of the three stages involved in filmmaking preproduction, production, and post-production and as a group will produce a final zero-budget short film. At the end of this course, students will have developed the technical vocabulary associated with production process needed to work with publishing professionals.
