Description | This course introduces the students to how the vehicle’s handling and ride comfort are affected by the steering, suspension and braking systems of the automobile. The course is intended to familiarize students with the recommended trade practices and procedures covering the diagnosis and repairs to all aspects of these systems. The students will gain experience in using specialized tools and equipment for servicing the vehicle including four-wheel alignments, disc/drum brake lathe operation, tire mounting and balancing as well as scan tool operation for the servicing of Antilock Braking Systems. Students must complete all assignments and lab exercises to keep up and independent study will be necessary. Students are urged to seek extra help if they feel it is necessary. |
