| Description | In Structure of Health Care Information Systems (HCIS), students will learn the subject of health care informatics. Students will explore the administrative and technical environment of health care informatics, as well as the techniques of data capture and storage. Emphasis shall be placed on the topics of information management systems, the electronic medical record, as well as data standards and medical coding. The student will also study quality improvement strategies and patient safety. |
