Description | This course is design for student to gain an extensive knowledge in the purpose and fundamental of shielded metal arc, MIG and TIG welding. They will learn about the functions, constructions and application of the said systems as well as hands on training on how to set up and use these types of welding equipments. Students will be taught different types of welding technique using the metal arc, MIG and TIG welding equipment. They will be able to practice these techniques in our state of the art welding facility. Students will learn about the different types of cab control systems, identify these systems as well as diagnose and repair or recommend repair on these system. They will also be taught about the different types of truck rig configuration and the articulating coach system. Students will study the factors that affect the bridge formula, weight over axle calculations, gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR), gross combined weight rating (GCWR), rig designation, total vehicle length, statutory lane sizing and statutory length and height. Students will study the vehicles heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system is detail. They will study the various components of the different types of A/C systems and how each component works. They will also learn how to diagnose and repair the HVAC system. This course will also outline the laws that govern working on and around the HVAC system and the responsibility of technicians when working on or around the A/C system. |
