To participate in the Centennial WILwork program, you must be a current Centennial College student who is pursuing their first college or university education in Canada. Participants should be interested in working in at least one of the following fields: software development, technology, engineering or healthcare.
Email wilwork@centennialcollege.ca to inquire about your eligibility.
Participating students will:
- Apply classroom learning and skills to industry challenges in a way that fits your unique schedule
- Gain experience working and networking with industry partners
- Enhance your understanding of the Canadian workplace and employability skills
- Receive a Certificate of Program Completion
Each program stream has a different time commitment to accommodate your unique schedule.
- For Part-Time Work Experiences, students will complete their placement for 120-288 hours over 12 weeks (10-24 hours a week).
- For Industry Group Projects, students will complete the project for 12 weeks.
- For Hackathons, students will participate over a period of two to three days.
Each student is entitled to participate in one WILwork opportunity. Please ensure that your Centennial WILwork does not conflict with your existing for-credit co-op, field placement, clinical, practicum or internship.
After completing a Centennial WILwork application and if you qualify for the program, you will receive an email with access to the Centennial WlLwork course on eCentennial where you will find the opportunities and job search resources.
Find the Centennial WILwork application on Experience Centennial. You must be logged in to Experience Centennial to see the page.
If you are an international student interested in participating in the Part-Time Work Experience option, please ensure your Study Permit entitles you to work part-time while you are enrolled in full-time studies at the college.
If you have questions about your work permit, please contact an International Student Advisor. Visit their webpage for details.
